Markel International has appointed Janita Leu as senior marine underwriter, focusing on fine art and specie insurance.
Based in Singapore, Leu will report to Colin Fordham, Markel Asia director, and will work closely with Markel’s marine team, both in Asia-Pacific and the global business. Leu has more than 20 years of underwriting experience and was previously business development manager and marine underwriter at Talbot Risk Services.
The appointment, according to Markel, strengthens its underwriting capabilities in Singapore and furthers its expansion efforts in the Asia-Pacific region.
