Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore (TMLS) has announced the appointment of Soh Yeow Liang (pictured) as its new head of strategic partnership. In this role, Liang will spearhead efforts to acquire new market share in the financial advisory, bancassurance, and affinity spaces.
Liang has over 18 years of industry experience across insurance, banking, trust, and insurtech. More recently, he worked as the head of sales and distribution for a Bermuda high-net-worth insurer; in this role, he was pivotal in driving premium growth, forging sales channel partnerships and opportunities.
According to his LinkedIn, Liang also co-founded PolicyXchange, an insurtech based in Singapore. A few years ago, he also worked at the Tokio Marine Group as head of partnership distribution and vice president of the bancassurance distribution. He has also worked at Prudential and Manulife.
“As TMLS strives to achieve new business growth, it is imperative that the company focuses on developing strategic partnerships within the financial advisory, bancassurance and affinity sectors and delivering exceptional value to our clients,” said Christopher Teo, CEO of TMLS. “With Yeow Liang on board, it will boost the team’s capabilities and help us to advance our strategic partnership goals.”
Recently, Tokio Marine Holdings also announced the launch of a group-wide market intelligence platform to enhance its collaborations with external companies.
