Sun Life has announced the appointment of Mahima Tankha Marwah as its chief client experience and marketing officer in Asia, effective from March 15.
Marwah will report to David Broom, chief client and distribution officer for the region. Her primary focus will be to steer the company's efforts in bolstering brand awareness, fostering deeper relationships with clients, and innovating product offerings to better serve customer needs throughout Asia. She is tasked with overseeing the company's marketing strategies, development of the brand, philanthropic initiatives, and client insights, alongside spearheading the creation of new client-centric solutions.
Marwah's geographical area of responsibility includes significant markets such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines, as confirmed by Sun Life and reported by Marketing Interactive.
Marwah has more than 20 years of experience in various aspects of the insurance industry – including channel and brand management, digital marketing, and customer experience – in the Asian context. She has previously held roles at FWD, where she served as vice president of digital bancassurance, and Allianz, and has expertise in insurance distribution, client experience and marketing strategy.
“I'm thrilled to welcome Marwah to the team. Her extensive experience and proven track record in brand and product marketing, customer experience and insights, and digital sales will enhance how we connect with our clients and ensure we continue to deliver exceptional experiences and drive growth across Asia,” Boom said.
“I am excited to join Sun Life to continue to grow their world-class client experience and marketing function. I am excited to work with new colleagues across Asia to drive business growth and deliver solutions that will help clients meet their health and wealth goals,” Marwah said.
This announcement comes in the wake of Sun Life's recent launch of an upgraded version of SunGift Global in Hong Kong to commemorate its 132-year journey in the Hong Kong insurance market.
