Prudential Hong Kong Limited has announced its sponsorship of the “100% Doraemon & FRIENDS” Tour in Hong Kong.
The event, organised by AllRightsReserved and Fujiko Pro, runs from July 13 to Aug. 11 and features various activities designed to engage the public both online and offline.
Ivan Choi, chief customer and marketing officer at Prudential Hong Kong, said the sponsorship enables the insurer to curate several activities alongside the exhibition.
“We are delighted to welcome back to Hong Kong Doraemon, a beloved character that has warmed the hearts of multiple generations. The ‘100% Doraemon & FRIENDS’ Tour kicked off late last month with the world’s first Doraemon drone show – a big hit among the public and visitors,” he said. “This time, Doraemon brings with him his new gadget ‘100% Friends-Calling Bell’ to Hong Kong, which calls on his friends in time of needs, just like how Prudential has been listening to the needs of our customers whenever they need us.
“As the lead sponsor of the event, Prudential has also curated a feast of activities alongside the exhibition to excite and invigorate everyone and add summer sparkle to the vibrancy of Hong Kong.”
Prudential Hong Kong will launch several interactive activities, including:
The event features free and paid exhibition areas.
The free section, located at the Avenue of Stars and Tsim Sha Tsui harbourfront, runs from July 13 to Aug. 11. It includes a 12-meter inflatable Doraemon, 34 characters from the manga and animation, and 10 life-sized sculptures from the movie series. Additionally, the Avenue of Stars will showcase Doraemon characters dressed in formal attire alongside comic-style standees of 13 Hong Kong film professionals.
The paid exhibition, held at K11 MUSEA from July 13 to Aug. 18, spans over 10,000 square feet. Visitors can access the “100% Doraemon Manga Art Exhibition Hall” and the “100% Doraemon Sculpture Park” with a single ticket. The exhibition features an original short film created by a renowned Japanese animation company and 36 Doraemon 3D sculptures.
The sponsorship comes on the heels of Prudential Hong Kong’s collaboration with seven hospitals and clinics to introduce a patient-focused healthcare network in the country.
