This carnival seeks to enhance public understanding of physical and mental well-being and advocate for sustainable, eco-friendly living through an array of engaging activities, games, and workshops. AXA BetterMe Weekend is a large-scale community event, free of charge and open to all, without prior registration.
For the second year running, AXA is hosting this outdoor event at AXA x WONDERLAND, from Oct. 28-29. The event is structured around three distinctive experience zones: “Mind Health,” “Physical Health,” and “Wellness and ESG,” integrating aspects of physical and mental well-being, along with green living. It offers a diverse range of free classes, games, and workshops catering to individuals of all ages.
This year, AXA BetterMe Weekend is also introducing a host of new experiential activities for both adults and children. Notable additions include the “BetterMe Maze,” featuring various checkpoints and mini games that incorporate hidden elements related to environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) concepts, enhancing understanding of living an eco-friendly life.
There is also the “CHILL Run!” event which presents a specially designed track for participants to engage in a low-carbon racing event, promoting low-carbon travel. The carnival will also feature a bouncy castle attraction, showcasing an inflatable castle with adorable nature-themed characters, offering an educational opportunity and a delightful engagement activity for participants to relax and have fun together.
Live band performances and busking acts will entertain attendees throughout the event, complementing the array of approximately 20 activities encompassing diverse themes such as yoga sessions, art creation, face painting, balloon arts, aromatherapy workshops, physical fitness activities, reaction games, handcraft markets, and plant pounding workshops.
Participants will receive exclusive commemorative items, including the limited-edition AXA BetterMe Weekend lanyard set. Attendees can also win badges by completing specific tasks or answering simple questions as they move around the event venue. Additionally, various activity booths will be offering gifts to visitors.
The event will run from 12:30-7:30pm, with complimentary shuttle services to and from Kowloon Station.
The return of the carnival comes as a recent study from the insurer found that younger women in Hong Kong are grappling with poorer mind health in contrast to their male counterparts.
