Loss adjusting firm Charles Taylor Adjusting is expanding its Singapore regional hub with the appointment of industry veteran Stephen Thorpe as Asia managing director for property, casualty, and special technical risks.

Thorpe is already holding another important role for Charles Taylor Adjusting as global managing director for natural resources. With this new role in Asia, he will split his time between Australia and Singapore to work on global natural resources clients as well as enhance the firm’s presence in APAC through P&C and other special lines of insurance claims.

According to his LinkedIn, Thorpe has been with Charles Taylor Adjusting for almost four years and previously worked as APAC director for natural resources and engineering. He was also a partner for Thorpe Adjusting, in addition to a managing director role at Integra Technical Services.

Thorpe has over 35 years of experience in the loss adjusting industry, specialising in finding solutions to complex losses in mining, onshore natural resources, transport, engineering, and construction industry sectors.

“Charles Taylor Adjusting is a unique team of experts, offering a leading service to our clients throughout Asia across the aviation, marine, natural resources, property, casualty, technical and special risks markets,” said Richard Yerbury, CEO of Charles Taylor Adjusting. “Stephen Thorpe is already well known to so many of our clients in Asia; his leadership in the region and focus will provide stability, experience, and the continued delivery of high-quality solutions to our clients,” Yerbury said.
