Zurich Insurance Group AG has appointed Anish Jadav as chief underwriting officer (CUO), based in Singapore.
According to a statement by the company, the appointment is part of its plans to increase the footprint of its commercial insurance business in the region, as well as transforming Singapore into an underwriting hub for clients in various Asia-Pacific markets. He is in charge of several specialty lines, including accident and health, financial, marine, and surety.
As part of his new role, Jadav will work in close coordination with
Chris Waterman, head of the Asia-Pacific commercial insurance team.
Jadav relocated to Zurich Singapore from the company’s commercial insurance operation in the UK, where he held multiple roles such as deputy CUO and head of the Facilities portfolio. He is a fellow of the British Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
This move is the latest in a series of personnel changes made by the Switzerland-based insurer for its Asian markets as it seeks to expand its influence in the region, which contains several fast-growing markets.
