Zurich Middle East has reaffirmed its support for its financial advisors and distribution partners amid the COVID-19 pandemic with a number of commitments.
In a statement, the Middle Eastern arm of Zurich Insurance said the commitments demonstrate its “constant and dedicated support” and “continuous and long-term engagement” with its distribution partners.
According to the insurer, it launched its ZurichPro point-of-sale platform to help its advisors complete sales in just once meeting. Launched in October 2020, the instant quote, application, and underwriting solution enables partners to submit applications and receive payments online. The insurer claims the platform has policy issuance times by 60%.
With regard to COVID-19-related claims, Zurich Middle East said it has paid 100% of these claims, translating to over US$110 million (SG$148 million) in customer benefits. It was also the first insurer in the region to publish regional claim statistics and key health trends.
Despite the financial disruption caused by the pandemic, Zurich Middle East said that its savings and investment solutions are performing strongly, with its US dollar performance fund having achieved a return of 855.99% since launch, while its flagship US dollar blue chip has grown to 802.43%.
The company has also formed a dedicated support team for its advisors and customers during these challenging times.
Zurich Middle East has served over 200,000 customers over the past 30 years. The company is fully regulated by the UAE Insurance Authority and has been recognised as an “outstanding company in spreading insurance awareness”.
“We value our long-standing relationships with our partners and appreciate their ongoing trust and commitment towards our end customers,” said Walter Jopp, Zurich Middle East CEO.
“At Zurich Middle East, we work in collaboration with our affiliates by listening attentively to all the feedback shared and in turn providing relevant solutions, to help build a brighter and more secure future for our customers.
“We are delighted that our partners, who are an extension of the Zurich Middle East family, are as committed as we are in creating awareness about life insurance to help our customers make the appropriate choices and be ready for life.”
