International insurer XL Catlin has appointed Wilson Yeo as property insurance manager for Singapore.
With the appointment, Yeo brings more than 23 years’ experience in the property and casualty insurance industry. He joins XL Catlin from
Allied World Assurance Company, where he was assistant vice president for the Singapore property division, as well as global programs. Before that, he worked for several insurers, including Guardian Royal Exchange, Federal Insurance Company/
Chubb, Singapore,
AXA Singapore and RSA Insurance.
David Guest, country manager for Singapore, said: “Singapore is a core market for our clients. The Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) reports that Singapore drew in S$11.5 billion in fixed-asset investment in 2015, exceeding its S$9 billion to S$11 billion forecast. Many of these companies with operations locally have some significant property assets and need sophisticated insurance solutions. It is therefore crucial to have the right expertise in place to address these clients’ needs. Wilson’s appointment demonstrates XL Catlin’s commitment to investing in our talents and delivering for our clients and brokers in the region.”
