Willis, a WTW business, has appointed Kohsuke Komorizono as head of risk and analytics for corporate risk and broking in Japan.
In his previous role, he led a team focused on property, strategic, cyber and climate risks, working with broking teams to help companies minimize risk exposure.
Based in Tokyo, Komorizono will report to Roy Nakazawa, head of Japan and head of corporate risk and broking Japan, while also joining the regional risk and analytics team led by Kevin Snowdon in Asia.
"Kohsuke has a deep understanding of Japanese business trends and challenges they face in today's highly volatile business environment," Nakazawa said. "We will combine our leading-edge risk analytics with consulting expertise across insurance and risk management specialties to deliver optimal outcomes for our clients."
In his new position, Komorizono will drive the delivery of Willis' integrated risk and insurance analytics solutions to Japanese clients across industries. He will work closely with actuaries, forensic accountants, risk engineers and risk management consultants to help companies reduce performance volatility and maximize profitability.
"Jointly with our global and Asian regional Risk & Analytics teams, Kohsuke will focus on maximizing the use of Willis' advanced risk and analytical capabilities," said Kevin Snowdon, head of risk and analytics in Asia.
The appointment aims to provide Japanese companies with better insights into risk exposures across their entire business portfolio.
The group also recently named Mark Mamone as its new head of technology delivery and strategy for its Insurance Consulting and Technology business.
