Willis Towers Watson has appointed Terence Montgomery as lead of mergers and acquisition (M&A) transaction solutions in Asia-Pacific, effective immediately.
He will partner and support companies in the region by providing various solutions such as warranty & indemnity, tax, and contingent risk insurance, which help facilitate M&A transactions. He will work closely with Willis Towers Watson’s M&A advisory team worldwide to assist the company’s clients to mitigate risk and execute their M&A transactions.
With over 12 years of M&A experience, Montgomery joins Willis Towers Watson from specialist M&A insurance adviser Risk Capital Advisors, where he was head of Asia. Prior to that, he was an M&A lawyer at Norton Rose Fulbright.
According to a statement by Willis Towers Watson, the appointment is part of its continued investment in the M&A space within the financial & executive risks (FINEX) line of business, as part of its corporate risk and broking services.
Montgomery is based in Hong Kong and reports to Namit Mahajan, head of FINEX for Asia, and Alex Keville, M&A Practice Leader, FINEX.
“We are excited to have Terence leading our Asia-Pacific M&A Transaction Solutions unit,” said Mahajan. “Terence has deep understanding and experience of the Asia-Pacific M&A landscape. His addition to our business will further cement our position as a global market leader in the M&A advisory space and our clients will benefit from our superior value proposition integrating both transactional risk solutions and human capital advisory services.”
