Willis Towers Watson (WTW) has hired the entire team of Jobable, a Hong Kong-based human capital analytics and software company.
The move, according to a statement from the global brokerage, expands its capabilities in human capital data science and software development. This will enhance the company’s ability to help organisations drive digital transformation and harness the potential held by their human capital data.
Jobable co-founder and former CEO Richard Hanson joins WTW as head of data science for talent & rewards, along with Jobable co-founder and former chief operating officer Luke Byrne. In this role, Hanson will remain based in Hong Kong and will work to identify and capture global revenue opportunities, whilst actively contributing to WTW's thought leadership initiatives. Meanwhile, Byrne will help with the transition process.
The Jobable team’s shift to WTW comes after a multi-year global partnership between the two firms, which created the skill-based compensation modelling software, SkillsVue, launched in 2019. In 2020, WTW launched WorkVue, an AI-driven job reinvention software also developed by the Jobable team.
“Throughout our partnership with Jobable, we experienced first-hand, their capabilities across data science, software design and development,” said Mark Reid, global leader for work and rewards at WTW. “The Jobable team often provided a valuable point of differentiation to our clients’ work. Whilst we have already shared numerous commercial successes together, the prospect of building on this proven track record, discovering new synergies and fully leveraging on Richard and his team’s expertise is truly a compelling one.”
