Willis Towers Watson, a global advisory and broking firm, has appointed Albert Li as head of its Hong Kong and Taiwan insurance consulting and technology business.
Based in Hong Kong, Li reports to Richard Collis, managing director of Willis Towers Watson’s insurance consulting and technology business in Asia-Pacific. The team is composed of 250 insurance-focused consultants and specialists in nine markets across the region.
Li will be responsible for developing opportunities and supporting clients in both the Hong Kong and Taiwan markets, working towards delivering solutions spanning the entire insurance value chain that will give clients the advantage in tackling business challenges.
“Albert is a very valuable addition to both our Hong Kong and regional leadership teams. He has deep industry experience and will play a pivotal role in bringing regional practice and functional initiatives to Hong Kong and Taiwan,” said Collis. “Business and risk management processes continue to change in the low yield environments of Hong Kong and Taiwan. This is creating new challenges – but also new opportunities – in terms of investment and financial security within the region.”
Before joining Willis Towers Watson, Li was most recently chief actuary and chief risk officer with Cigna in Indonesia, and, prior to that, he spent three years with
Chubb Life in Vietnam. He brings to the company 24 years of experience in insurance, gained from several markets across the world.
