Willis Towers Watson has appointed Luke Ware (pictured above) as corporate risk and broking (CRB) leader for its Asia region.
He succeeds Scott Burnett, who was recently named chief commercial officer for the company’s risk and broking operations worldwide.
Based in Singapore, Ware will be in charge of the CRB business across all of Willis Towers Watson’s Asian markets. He was previously country leader and CRB leader for the company’s Indonesian operations. Prior to that, Ware was natural resources leader for Asia, based in Thailand. He also held several natural resources roles for WTW in Australia since he joined the company in 2009. He began his professional career with JLT.
Ware will report to Simon Weaver, who assumed an expanded role overseeing CRB across both Asia and Australasia. This is alongside Weaver’s existing role leading Willis Towers Watson’s Australasia businesses. Based in Sydney, Weaver joined WTW from Miller in 2015, and has held leadership roles throughout the Asia-Pacific region during his career.
“Luke’s energy, vision and inclusive approach will ensure that our clients continue to get the smart, sustainable risk solutions they expect from WTW as they navigate our ever-changing risk landscape,” said Pamela Thomson-Hall, head of international, WTW. “Simon is a well-respected and longstanding leader with a demonstrable track record of building cohesive and successful teams that drive growth.”
