Willis Towers Watson, a global insurance advisory, brokerage, and consulting firm, has announced the appointment of David Maneval as property and casualty sales and practice leader for its insurance consulting and software operations in South Asia.
Based in Singapore, Maneval will be responsible for heading and growing the general insurance consulting practice across South Asia, including the markets of Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam. He will provide consulting services to the insurance industry regarding financial and regulatory reporting, market strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and risk management. Maneval will report to Ken Brown, head of South Asia and emerging markets for Willis Towers Watson.
“The vast client, geographical, cultural, and regulatory differences across South Asia are creating new opportunities for us to meet our clients’ diverse needs and challenges,” Brown said. “We believe David’s deep sector knowledge, expertise and innovative thinking will help us tap those opportunities and bring real benefits to our clients.”
Maneval has more than 15 years’ experience in the insurance and reinsurance industries, having held several senior positions in the UK and Singapore, including chief reinsurance officer for Asia Pacific at
AIG Singapore and head of actuarial for Asia at
Aon Benfield. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with distinction and is a Fellow of the French Institute of Actuaries.
