International managing general agency (MGA) and Lloyd’s Syndicate Volante Global has announced an expansion into Asia with Volante Singapore.
This new arm will cater to APAC clients, including those in Greater China, Southeast Asia, South Korea, and Japan. Like its other platforms, Volante Singapore will combine underwriting with data-driven business processes to offer insurance solutions across these territories.
According to a news release, these solutions include property, engineering, motor, accident and casualty, marine, multiline bouquet across treaty, facultative, binder, and facility business. Volante Singapore also plans to extend transaction liability solutions through its Volante Transaction Services, including warranty and indemnity as well as tax liability insurance.
Volante Singapore received regulatory approval earlier this year and is now actively trading. It is led by Amy Fu, an experienced insurance professional with a career spanning multiple international locations.
“We are excited to bring Lloyd’s capacity to the reinsurance market in the region. Our desire to serve the high growth markets of Asia meant the Lloyd’s Asia platform in Singapore was the ideal choice for us given its vibrant and highly evolved marketplace. We are privileged to have Amy onboard, leading our expansion in the region,” Volante emerging market leaders Bilal Zafar and Bobby Swarup said.
