Tokio Marine Life Singapore has revealed two major appointments – Gilbert Pak as chief marketing officer and Michael Kuek as chief & appointed actuary.
In his new role, Pak will be responsible for leading marketing and product strategy at TMLS, the insurer said in a statement. Prior to joining TMLS, Pak was with Allianz Asia-Pacific, where he was regional head of product management for eight years. He has over 27 years of marketing, product development, actuarial and financial management experience across Asia.
Meanwhile, as chief & appointed actuary, Kuek will oversee the insurer’s actuarial valuation and pricing functions. With close to 24 years of experience within the insurance industry, Kuek joined from China Life Insurance Co. (Singapore), where he was chief actuary. Before that, he held the same position with Great Eastern Life Indonesia. He is a fellow of Society of Actuaries and a certified enterprise risk analyst.
