Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has appointed Jeffrey Pan (pictured above) as CEO for Greater China, effective April 11. Based in Shanghai, Pan will also become a member of the Corporate Solutions APAC executive team.
Pan joins Swiss Re after a 17-year stint at AIG. There, he held several senior roles and was most recently general manager of AIG International Consulting (Shanghai) Co. He was also vice president and China head of corporate planning and investment and digital marketing. Before joining AIG, Pan worked at Berkshire Hathaway’s Gen Re and People's Insurance Company of China.
Pan will succeed Jingwei Jia, who left earlier this year. Jonathan Rake, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions’ Asia-Pacific CEO, temporarily assumed oversight for the Greater China region.

The combination of his commercial and consumer insurance experience, as well as digital distribution expertise, saw him as an ideal candidate for the role.
