Sun Life Investment Management has hired Tieu-Bich Nguyen as head of credit research for Asia.
Nguyen will be responsible for growing Sun Life’s credit research team in Asia, based in the firm’s Asia regional office in Hong Kong. She reports to Sun Life Asia chief investment officer Sancho Chan, and David Hamlin, senior managing director for North American credit research.
With more than 20 years’ experience in the credit industry, Nguyen will focus on credit analysis and provide strategic advice on credit cycle positioning for Sun Life, which has close to US$45 billion in assets under management.
Before joining Sun Life, Nguyen was senior vice president and partner at Wellington Management Company in Boston. There, she was in charge of the cross-regional emerging markets corporate investment strategy covering corporate issuers from Asia, the EMEA region, and Latin America.
