Sony Life Financial Advisers Pte Ltd (SLFA) has opened its first financial advisory shop in Singapore, named LiveLife.
Located at Westgate Mall in Jurong East, the shop opened on September 22. It aims to give consumers a comfortable environment and a convenient location to discuss their insurance needs with SLFA’s relationship managers, a statement by the company said.
LiveLife offers both life and general insurance products, with travel, motor, fire, and personal accident insurance under the latter segment. It has partnered with several major insurers, including Aviva, Manulife, NTUC Income, Tokio Marine, Great Eastern, MSIG, and Sompo.
The shop brings to Singapore a popular insurance distribution model in Japan, where consumers walk in to dedicated retail shops to seek professional advice. A total of 10 relationship managers are present at the site.
According to Fumio Aono, managing director of Sony Life Singapore, by establishing LiveLife, SLFA seeks to provide “quality and unbiased advice based on holistic life planning by relationship managers where consumers can compare a wide range of products and services in a comfortable and conveniently located retail space.”
SLFA is a joint venture between the Japanese insurer’s Singaporean subsidiary and Starts Securities Company, and was formed in August 2017.
