QBE has announced the appointment of Rob Kosova as the incoming CEO for Asia, pending the nod from regulatory bodies.
Kosova (pictured) is slated to start his new position on April 1, operating out of Singapore and under the guidance of QBE International CEO Jason Harris.
Kosova joined the QBE team in 2018. His most recent role involved steering underwriting activities within the Australia Pacific division, focusing on enhancing experiences for customers and partners across a range of insurance products, including but not limited to workers' compensation, property, marine, and commercial motor, alongside managing the risk solutions department.
With a solid foundation in risk management and consultancy, Kosova has accumulated a vast spectrum of experience across the insurance industry, covering insurer, broker, and client perspectives.
“I am delighted to welcome Rob to the Asia leadership team. It's an exciting time for our business as we look to expand in the region and continue to enhance our service offering with a constant focus on delivering customer satisfaction. Rob's experience and passion will be a great addition to the team, and I look forward to working with him,” Harris said.
Kosova fills the vacancy left by Jason Hammond, who disclosed his intention to relocate back to Australia last year. To ensure a seamless leadership transfer, there will be an overlap period for Kosova and Hammond to exchange insights and responsibilities.
The appointment follows the promotion of Amanda Lupkin to the role of QBE Re vice president and head of its North America Health Practice.
