Partner Re has appointed James Beedle as its new head of Asia-Pacific and CEO of Partner Reinsurance Asia Pte. Ltd. The appointment will take effect on January 1, 2017 and is subject to regulatory approval.
After a short transition period, Beedle will replace Alain Flandrin, who will leave the company to pursue personal and professional endeavors.
Based in Singapore, Beedle will be in charge of developing Partner Re’s Asia-Pacific business, meeting clients’ needs, and advancing the reinsurer’s various strategic goals. He will report to Tad Walker, PartnerRe’s property and casualty segment chief executive and member of the Group’s executive committee.
Beedle joins Partner Re from Willis Re, where he was senior managing director for the Asia-Pacific region. His business responsibilities covered numerous markets all over Asia, including Indonesia, China, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, and Vietnam. He also had stints as COO of Willis Re’s Australia and Japan branches.
