Pacific Life Re has appointed Chan Keng Hong as head of Greater China. Based in Singapore, he will be in charge of leading, developing, and implementing the company’s strategy in the Greater China region.
Chan is an actuary with significant experience in the Southeast Asia and Greater China markets. He has held previous roles in business development and pricing with various major reinsurers, as well as actuarial and product management roles with life insurers. He joins Pacific Life Re from Great Eastern, where he was head of group product management.
“Keng Hong is an experienced life insurance practitioner in the region, and his addition should strengthen the team and underscores the company’s commitment to the Greater China market,” said Andrew Gill, managing director of Pacific Life Re, Asia and Australia. “We are looking forward to seeing Keng Hong excel in his new role and continue to move the company forward into a new chapter.”
Around two years ago, Pacific Life Re opened its representative office in China as part of its goal to further expand into the fast-growing Asia-Pacific region.
