Pacific Life Re has appointed Vasan Errakiah as head of marketing, product development, and alternative distribution in Southeast Asia.
Errakiah, formerly head of pricing for Southeast Asia, Japan and Korea, will report to Andrew Gill, managing director of Pacific Life Re Asia and Australia. In his new role, he will be responsible for delivering significant growth targets in the Southeast Asian markets over the coming years. He will also lead the Asia product team, focusing on developing innovative products and solutions, including origination through alternative distribution channels for the various markets across the region.
“Pacific Life Re has grown in each of its key Asia markets over the last three years, easily exceeding targets,” said Gill. “As a result, we are focusing our attention on continuing to grow significantly in our chosen markets and segments, and to bring real solutions to our clients. By making these appointments in addition to further investment in our staffing numbers, I expect we will continue to exceed our growth expectations in the region.”
Errakiah succeeds Jeff Cook, who has left the company to pursue other opportunities.
“Jeff has been instrumental in establishing the foundations of Pacific Life Re’s presence in Southeast Asia and the company wishes him every success in his upcoming endeavours,” the company said in a statement.
