International audit, tax, and advisory firm Mazars has announced the appointment of Tan Yan Song as a partner in its Singapore office as part of the firm's strategy to strengthen its influence in the insurance sector of the financial services industry.
Tan joins Mazars with over 20 years of experience in audit and assurance, particularly within the insurance industry. His professional background includes a leadership role as the regional head of internal audit for a major Japanese insurance group and experience at a Big Four firm.
With a background as a Chartered Accountant of Singapore and a bachelor of accountancy degree from Nanyang Technological University, Tan’s in-depth knowledge of insurance-related financial and audit matters makes him a key asset to Mazars, the firm said. His expertise is expected to enhance the firm's capabilities in the financial services sector, especially in insurance and asset management.
