If you need to contact Markel International about claims issues in Singapore, Hong Kong, India or Labuan then you now have a new first point of contact.
That’s because the specialist insurer has appointed Bo Yu (pictured) as its new claims lead for the continent. He is set to work alongside the claims team across the Markel group in an effort to ensure that the best expertise is provided to clients throughout the process.
In a release announcing the appointment, Markel pointed to Yu’s extensive experience – prior to joining Markel in Singapore, he was senior marine claims manager for QBE Insurance (Singapore) and oversaw the marine claims team at Great American Insurance.
“We’re delighted to welcome Bo to our expanding Asia team,” said Christian Stobbs, managing director for Markel in Asia. “His wealth of experience will ensure Markel continues to deliver excellence and effective claim management in Asia as our business grows. Bo’s appointment emphasises our belief in the importance of providing a local service to our clients wherever possible.”
