Manulife has appointed Anne-Maree Tassell (pictured above) as chief operations officer, Asia, as part of the company’s growth and digital transformation strategy in the region.
Tassell joined Manulife after more than 20 years with Citi, where she held leadership roles across Australia, Hong Kong and the UK. Most recently, she was the head of operations and technology for Citi’s EMEA markets, where she oversaw the banking behemoth’s operations and technology infrastructure across multiple products, shared services and infrastructure support. She has more than 30 years’ experience in financial services, having led various cross-functional teams across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
“Anne-Maree brings considerable expertise to Manulife as we ramp up our digital transformation and customer-centric innovation in Asia,” said Damien Green, president and CEO, Manulife Asia. “We look forward to supercharging delivery against our strategy in 2023 as we pursue our growth ambitions in Asia.”
