The MDRT is an independent global association recognised for setting the benchmark for excellence in the life insurance and financial services industries. Membership requires a high level of professional knowledge, ethical conduct, and superior client service.
AIA has maintained its status as the number one MDRT multinational company globally for 10 consecutive years, from 2015 to 2024.
In a statement, the insurance giant said the recognition reflects the exceptional performance, integrity, and commitment of its agents to their clients and communities.
During this period, AIA not only retained its global ranking but also achieved the highest number of qualifying agents in nine markets:
“I am delighted that AIA Group is the only company to have achieved the top ranking for 10 consecutive years,” said Lee Yuan Siong, group chief executive and president of AIA. “This historic accomplishment is a testament to the outstanding quality of our Premier Agency model, which distinguishes us as an industry leader. Our world-class agents are central to maintaining trusted relationships with our customers and they make a positive difference in the lives of the communities that we serve across Asia,” he said.
Jacky Chan, regional chief executive and group chief distribution officer of AIA, added: “I am incredibly proud of our agents and agency leaders who are the gold standard in the industry. To achieve the largest number of MDRT members globally once again is a reflection of their professionalism and dedication to meeting the evolving needs of our customers. We remain deeply committed to investing in our agency force by providing best-in-class training, tools, and support for their continued success.”
FWD ranked sixth in the 2024 MDRT Top 10 Multinational Companies rankings for the third year in a row, with 2,089 MDRT members as of July 1. It ranked second for MDRT membership in Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam, and fifth in Hong Kong SAR.
Lee Yen Ho, group chief distribution and proposition officer of FWD, highlighted the quality of the group’s distribution network.
“We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our MDRT members on achieving this hard-earned career highlight. As a customer-led insurer, the quality of our distribution footprint is an important foundation for our business. That’s why we continue to invest in professional development opportunities and digitally enabled capabilities for our agency force,” she said.
