HSBC Life Hong Kong has created two senior roles, with Celia Chan (pictured left) appointed as chief health officer, and Daisy Tsang (pictured right) as chief distribution and customer officer.
Both of them report to Edward Moncreiffe, chief executive officer, Hong Kong, HSBC Life.
According to a statement from the insurer, Chan is responsible for developing and executing the company’s growth and diversification strategy, which aims to establish it as a leader in corporate health and wellness solutions in the Hong Kong and Macau markets.
Chan is a seasoned insurance professional, with experience across business strategy, product development, customer experience, actuarial, asset-liability management and risk management. She has held several senior roles several pan-Asian insurance companies. Most recently, she was senior director, customer propositions and experience at Prudential Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, Tsang is in charge of driving life insurance sales and marketing activities across all channels and business partners in Hong Kong and Macau. She is also responsible for creating and implementing insurance intermediary coverage, distribution models and commercialisation strategies.
Tsang has been with the HSBC Group for 20 years, having held a range of senior local and regional roles across product development, distribution, business performance management and strategic planning. She was most recently head of sales & channel development at HSBC Life, where she led the company’s adoption of multi-channel capability in Hong Kong, including its integrated appointment booking, video application and video sales capabilities.
