Vietnam-based insurance broker and agency GiNET has been renamed following an investment from Pacific Century Group, parent firm of bolttech, earlier this year.
According to a statement by bolttech, GiNET Vietnam Joint Stock Company and GiNET Vietnam Insurance Broker Joint Stock Company are now officially known as bolttech Vietnam Digital Solution Joint Stock Company and bolttech Insurance Broker Vietnam Joint Stock Company, respectively. A full rebranding will also take place in the coming months.
GiNET’s founders, Ta Chien (pictured) and Ngo Thanh Nam remain with the business. They, according to the statement, will continue providing extensive local experience and work together with bolttech’s growing team to further develop the business’s digital capabilities. GiNET has offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and more than 40 employees.
“Our goal at GiNET has always been to leverage the power of technology and platforms to deliver a better customer experience, and our new chapter as part of the dynamic bolttech group positions us strongly to deliver this experience,” said Ta Chien.
“Today’s announcement marks an exciting next step for our brand in the region as GiNET becomes an important part of achieving our vision to connect people with more ways to protect the things they value,” said bolttech CEO Rob Schimek.
“We have big ambitions for the Vietnamese market, which will in turn create new opportunities for GiNET’s customers, employees and partners as we integrate our insurtech capabilities into bolttech’s businesses in Vietnam.”
Bolttech is an insurance technology company owned by Hong Kong-based Pacific Century Group, the parent firm of insurer FWD.
