Generali Vietnam has announced the appointment of Vinay Dhareshwar as acting CEO for the company, effective immediately.
The announcement comes following the departure of CEO Tina Nguyen, who has been with the company for more than seven years. According to a press release, Nguyen is leaving the group to pursue other opportunities.
Nguyen has been the CEO for Generali Vietnam since December 2015. Prior to this, she worked for more than 11 years at Prudential Vietnam where she held various roles, the latest of which was chief customer officer. According to her LinkedIn, she is part of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Economics in Ho Chi Minh City.
Her replacement, Vinay Dhareshwar, has been with Generali Vietnam since August 2019. Before his new role of acting CEO, he held the role of chief officer for partnership, distribution, and products. Prior to his tenure at the insurer, he also worked at Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance, Bharti AXA Life Insurance, and Citibank. According to his LinkedIn, he holds a post graduate diploma in marketing and finance from the Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies.
