Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C) has appointed Lucia Sun (pictured) as head of claims, GC&C Asia, effective November 25.
Based in Hong Kong, Sun will be responsible for leading the GC&C division’s claims team across Asia, directly reporting to Axel Roesner, head of GC&C Asia.
According to a statement by Generali, Sun has over a decade of experience in the insurance sector, specialising in managing large and complex claims, particularly in financial lines and casualty with claims exposures in Asia as well as the US. Prior to joining the insurance industry, she practised insurance litigation and disputes resolution in various multinational law firms as a solicitor in Hong Kong.
“We are delighted to have Lucia on board and I am confident that her extensive experience in the industry will strongly contribute to the execution of our strategy in the region and to adding value beyond the policy,” said Roesner on the appointment. “We are committed to being our customers’ life-time partner, offering them a seamless experience through a value-added service and expertise.”
Sun holds a bachelor of laws degree from The University of Hong Kong and a master of laws degree from the University College London, UK.
