Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C) has appointed Hakeem Benraheem (pictured) as head of GC&C Thailand, effective March 01. He reports to Axel Roesner, head of GC&C Asia.
In his new role, Benraheem will be in charge of strengthening the strategic growth and development of GC&C business in the Thailand market, the company said in a statement.
Benraheem has over 17 years of insurance industry experience in Thailand and has a diverse professional background, having worked as risk engineer, placement broker, and property & casualty underwriter. Prior to joining Generali, he was head of property & casualty at Viriyah Insurance and was part of the product committee under the Thai General Insurance Association’s miscellaneous insurance committee.

Benraheem holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Southeast Asia University, as well as an MBA from Ramkhamhaeng University. He also holds a diploma of finance services (general insurance) from the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF).
