Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C) has appointed Wendy Law as head of casualty underwriting for Asia, based in Hong Kong.
Law, who is responsible for leading the firm’s casualty business across the region, joined Generali from Starr Insurance Companies, where she was head of liability. She has over a decade of experience in corporate and commercial insurance business, as well as the Lloyd’s market. She is familiar with multiple markets in Asia, including mainland China, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Southeast Asia. Law began her underwriting career at Catlin before joining Tokio Marine Kiln, where her remit was expanded to include managerial responsibilities and mentoring junior underwriters in different offices.
