FM Global has announced the appointment of Ziad Alex S. Tadmoury (pictured above) as executive vice president, entrusted with the oversight of operations spanning EMEA, Asia Pacific, Canada, and specialty industries.
Additionally, he will hold responsibility for AFM, FM Global’s middle market insurance division.
Tadmoury joined FM Global in 1989 as a reinsurance claims analyst, progressing through various key roles within the organisation. His portfolio encompassed positions such as manager of assumed reinsurance in Massachusetts, deputy director of FM Global’s construction and international power units (based in London), and operations manager (based in Paris).
His relocation to FM Global’s corporate headquarters in Rhode Island in 2012 saw him taking on several senior leadership roles, notably leading client service and sales, compliance, and Hobbs Brook Real Estate. Transitioning to the Asia Pacific division manager in 2019, he assumed his most recent role as the AFM division manager in 2022.
Tadmoury’s professional background extends beyond FM Global, encompassing engagements with Hanover Re’s Med Re Services in Athens, Greece. His educational credentials include an MBA from St. Louis University and a bachelor’s degree in quantitative business analysis from Indiana University.
Scheduled to assume the new role on Jan. 1, Tadmoury, currently serving as the senior vice president and division manager of AFM, will report to Bret Ahnell, chief operating officer of FM Global. His base of operations will be the FM Global office in London. Tadmoury will succeed James R. Galloway, who will retire on Dec. 31 after 37 years of service within FM Global.
