Etiqa Insurance Singapore has kicked off its "Multiply Blessings" Chinese New Year campaign, bringing festive cheer to local communities through surprise visits at food centres across the island.

Running Janu. 22-Feb. 5, the initiative featured Etiqa's "God of Fortune" making unexpected appearances at hawker centres, distributing red packets, mandarin oranges, and complimentary meals to both diners and stall owners.

The campaign aimed to address the sometimes overwhelming nature of seasonal celebrations and increased festive spending.

"At Etiqa, we believe that prosperity goes beyond financial security – it is about fostering meaningful connections, uplifting communities, and sharing joy," said corporate marketing head Carine Chin. "Through 'Multiply Blessings With You', we wanted to rekindle the true spirit of Chinese New Year."

The campaign, developed in partnership with independent creative agency Blak Labs, generated significant engagement both on-ground and across social media platforms.

Blak Labs creative partner Koh Hwee Peng said that the campaign effectively demonstrated Etiqa's 'With You' spirit throughout the festive season.

Etiqa Insurance Singapore, operating since 1961, was known as United General Insurance Co. Sdn. Bhd. The company transitioned to become the Singapore branch of Etiqa Insurance Berhad in 2009.

Today, it offers comprehensive life and general insurance products through various distribution channels, including bancassurance, agents, brokers, and online sales via Tiq by Etiqa.
