There will soon be a new man at the helm of Crawford & Company in both Europe and the Middle East.
Niels de Kock (pictured) is assuming the role of president for the two regions, beginning October 1.
Currently managing director for the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, de Kock is set to retain that role with the support of local leadership. He originally joined Crawford back in 2003 and has held a host of Europe-based roles since.
“Niels has successfully led our operations in Netherlands and Belgium since 2019 and Germany from 2022,” said Andrew Bart, CEO of international operations. “That success is built on his laser focus on doing the right thing for our clients, bringing the best of Crawford together in the pursuit of service excellence and accelerating business growth across the region. I look forward to Niels bringing these qualities to his new role.
“I am also delighted that by appointing Niels to president, Europe and Middle East, that we are yet again meeting our commitment to promote internally and ensure that our people have opportunities for advancement and the potential for career growth.”
The role will see de Kock lead Belgium, Denmark, Poland, the United Arab Emirates, Sweden, Spain, Norway, the Netherlands, Italy, Finland and Germany. He will work with the existing leadership team for the region and step into the role previously held by Bart himself.
