Global credit insurance provider Coface has appointed Hugh Burke as chief commercial officer for the Asia-Pacific region, as part of the company’s Asian growth strategy. The appointment will be effective in October 2016.
Based in Hong Kong, Burke will be in charge of commercial activities across the region, such as new sales, renewal business, and broker and customer relationship management. He will report to Asia CEO Bhupesh Gupta.
Burke has over 20 years’ experience in the trade credit insurance industry with stints at
Aon and
Marsh. Prior to joining Coface, he headed
Aon Asia’s trade credit division, where he led
Aon Risk Solution’s risk advisory and placement services all over Asia. Before relocating to Asia in 2011, he was head of business development at
Aon Trade Credit UK.
