CNA has made three leadership appointments within its commercial insurance organisation.
Michael Kirchgessner has been appointed to senior vice-president, underwriting for large/complex casualty business. He will be responsible for implementing underwriting strategies for the company’s large/complex casualty business. Kirchgessner will report to CNA president and chief operating officer, commercial Kevin Leidwinger.
Meanwhile, Chris Thurman has been named senior vice-president, underwriting for workers’ compensation. He will report to CNA commercial chief underwriting officer Julie Stephenson. In addition, Kelly Walsh has been tapped to serve as senior vice-president, underwriting for general liability. A release said that with her new role, she will manage the strategic direction of the general liability product line. Walsh will also report to Stephenson.
