Chubb has appointed Hng Keng Yoong (pictured above) as chief operating officer for Malaysia.
In her new role, Hng will be in charge of Chubb’s operational strategy in Malaysia. She also spearheads the development and execution of initiatives across product lines and various distribution channels.
Hng is a seasoned professional in the insurance industry, with experience in both life and general insurance segments. Her 20-year career spans across Asia with Chubb and the UK with Legal & General and accounting firm Blick Rothernberg. Hng was previously head of strategic planning for Chubb Asia-Pacific, a regional role she held since 2019. She previously worked in various capacities within Chubb’s regional accident and health and finance teams in Singapore. In January, Hng moved back to Malaysia due to her appointment as chief operations manager.
“I am delighted to have Keng Yoong step up to the role of our chief operating officer,” said Steve Crouch, Chubb’s country president for Malaysia. “She is a high-calibre, innovative and results-oriented executive. I have every confidence that her extensive experience, combined with her strong leadership and execution skills will ensure we continue to achieve our growth ambitions for Chubb as a leading general insurer in Malaysia.”
