CEO of long-running insurance firm joins board of Worldwide Broker Network

The Worldwide Broker Network (WBN) has appointed the CEO of long-running Japanese insurance company Mojumdar & Company to its board of directors.

The addition of CEO Larry Mojumdar comes amid WBN’s efforts to strengthen its position in the Asia-Pacific region. WBN is one of the world’s largest networks of independent commercial insurance brokers and employee benefits consultants.

“We are now 21 members strong in Asia-Pacific, serving clients in 15 countries. We see this as an area of great potential in 2018 and beyond,” said Daniel deSwaan, chair of the WBN board of directors.

WBN has a network of over 100 firms across the globe, serving clients through more than 500 offices. According to the company’s figures, it generates over US$5 billion in property and casualty and employee benefits revenue annually.

“More than just a prestigious institution, WBN offers collaboration tools, technology, and educational resources to effectively serve clients in the growing Asia-Pacific region,” said Larry Mojumdar.

Mojumdar & Company was established in 1955 in Tokyo. The company sells insurance products to both commercial and personal clients and provides professional assistance for personal insurance needs such as automobile, homeowners’, liability, life and annuity insurance. Mojumdar & Company Limited represents more than 20 different local and foreign insurers in Japan.
