bolttech has unveiled a new partnership with Three Sweden, a telecoms service provider, to offer comprehensive device protection solutions, both online and in-store, to customers.
This development further expands bolttech's existing ties with CK Hutchison Holdings (CKHH), building upon its network of key partnerships with CKHH-affiliated businesses worldwide. These partnerships include WINDTRE in Italy, Drei Austria, and Three Hong Kong.
Under this new collaboration, Three Sweden's customers will gain access to non-binding device protection insurance and related services, covering a spectrum of potential issues such as damage, theft, loss, and unauthorised usage.
The insurance, underwritten by AIG, has been structured to extend its protection to customers even when they are on the move, providing an additional layer of security. Customers can also benefit from swift claims settlements, with no cap on the number of claims and no depreciation in the value of their devices.
“We are excited to partner with Three Sweden, an innovative telecommunications business founded on cutting-edge mobile technology. This partnership will allow us to elevate the Swedish market’s device protection capabilities. We share the common vision of helping customers safeguard the valued devices that are central to their lives in our fast-moving, digital world,” bolttech Europe CEO Dr Jens Schädler said.
Elsewhere for the insurtech, bolttech is also reportedly contemplating an initial public offering (IPO) in the United States that has the potential to amass up to US$300 million (SG$410 million), according to sources familiar with the matter.
