Singapore-based bolttech has announced its appointment of Stuart Watson (pictured) as director of insurance exchange in Asia.
In his new role, Watson will lead business development for the insurtech’s embedded insurance and marketplace propositions across the region, working with new and existing partners as well as intermediaries.
According to his LinkedIn, Watson has a proven track record of developing, pricing, and launching new markets, partnerships, insurance product lines and multinational programs. Prior to this new role, Watson worked at Aon for more than six years, most recently as head of affinity and digital solutions for Asia. He also worked previously at AIG and Aegon.
Earlier this year, the insurtech made headlines as it raised US$196 million for a total valuation of US$1.6 billion, the largest straight equity Series B for an insurtech in the past year.
