AXIS Capital Holdings Limited today announced Sara Farrup (nee Mitchell) as the new Head of Global Markets.
As part of a planned leadership transition initially announced in September 2024, Farrup will report to AXIS president and CEO Vince Tizzio and serve on the Company's Executive Committee. She succeeds Mark Gregory, who will continue as a strategic advisor through March.
Based in London, Farrup is proud to join AXIS as head of global markets. Farrup joins AXIS following a 13-year tenure at Chubb. She most recently served as divisional president of Continental Europe and MENA prior to joining AXIS. In this role, she oversaw property and casualty, accident and health, and consumer lines operations across 25 countries.
AXIS Capital operates as a global specialty underwriter and provider of insurance and reinsurance solutions through its subsidiaries.
Shareholders' equity held by the Company stands at $6.1 billion as of September 30, 2024, with locations in Bermuda, the United States, Europe, Singapore, and Canada.
Financial strength ratings assigned to its operating subsidiaries include "A+" ("Strong") from Standard & Poor's and "A" ("Excellent") from A.M. Best.
