AXA XL has announced the appointment of Shiwei Jin (pictured above) as head of global programs, APAC & Europe.
Shiwei assumes the position after serving as AXA XL’s global program and captive regional director in APAC. In her new role, she will hel0p drive the company's global program strategy, value proposition, and transformation for its multinational clients in Asia, Australia, and Europe.
Based in Hong Kong, Shiwei has nearly two decades of industry experience, with focus on global insurance program structuring and management for multinationals, as well as governance and regulatory relations at senior levels.
“Global programs are at the core of our strategy and a key area of focus for our APAC & Europe Business Unit,” said Adias Gerbaud, AXA XL COO, APAC & Europe. “Shiwei is a seasoned insurance professional, specialised in global commercial insurance programs. She has a proven track record in working with international clients to provide bespoke and complex solutions and excellent service.”
In addition to Shiwei's appointment, AXA XL welcomed Shera Di Vetta and Julien Martins to its APAC & Europe casualty team.
Di Vetta has been appointed as senior product leader, casualty, while Julien Martins was named role product leader, casualty.
Di Vetta assumes her new role after eight years with AXA XL, most recently working as CUO office manager, Asia & Europe.
Meanwhile, Martins has been with AXA XL for over five years, moving from his previous position at the CUO office APAC & Europe as portfolio specialist, financial lines & casualty.
The company expressed its excitement about these appointments in a LinkedIn post, congratulating both Di Vetta and Martins on their new roles.
Last week, AXA XL also announced the appointment of Sam Cheng as head of financial lines, Hong Kong. Before that, it had named Marine Charbonnier as head of captives and facultative underwriting, APAC and Europe.
