Ku succeeds Matthew Cockerill, who departed from the company after 30 years to join Coface as head of commercial underwriting, Asia-Pacific.

A part of Atradius since 2008, Ku was previously a regional sales manager prior to his latest promotion. He was responsible for growing the company’s business in China and contributed to restoring the portfolio to profitability after the 2007-2008 global financial crisis.

Ku will be based in Hong Kong and will report to Asia and Middle East managing director Eric den Boogert, who commented: “Over the past years he has used his experience in the credit insurance market to continuously contribute to the profitable growth of our business in the Greater China region.”
