Helene Madell is taking on the same role at Aon but for a different market.
Currently the chief broking officer for commercial risk solutions, health solutions, and affinity in the Pacific region, Madell will move to the UK operations on April 06 to serve in the same capacity in the country. She will report to Aon UK Limited chief executive Julie Page.
“I’m delighted that Helene will be joining us in the UK,” commented the CEO. “Her record of delivering success in Australia, combined with her experience of the London market, will be key as we continue to drive a broking proposition that provides clients with unique access to the market and solutions.”
The chief broking officer has more than two and a half decades of industry experience, 13 years of which were spent at Willis Towers Watson prior to her Aon jump two years ago.
Madell will be working closely with her predecessor, company stalwart Laurence White who is taking on a new part-time role as chairman of UK broking, commercial risk.
“I am excited to be returning to the UK to work with Laurence and the team,” she commented. “In this changing market environment, I believe there is great opportunity to work with our carrier partners to deliver innovative solutions for our clients.”
Meanwhile Page expressed gratitude to White, who served as chief broking officer for commercial risk solutions, health solutions, and affinity in the UK in the last eight years and has been with Aon for more than three decades.
The UK boss said: “I’d like to thank Laurence for his ongoing contribution to Aon and look forward to seeing the results of the partnership that he and Helene will create.”
