Aon plc has continued its leadership appointment spree this year by naming Terence Williams (pictured) as head of Commercial Risk Solutions for Asia Pacific, effective April 2025.
Based in Singapore, he will report to Joe Peiser, global CEO of Commercial Risk Solutions, and Anne Corona, CEO of Asia Pacific. Williams will also join Aon’s Asia Pacific executive committee and global commercial risk leadership team.
In this role, Williams will be responsible for overseeing Aon’s commercial risk strategies across the region, focusing on strengthening the firm’s risk advisory capabilities.
Peiser stated that the evolving risk environment requires innovative solutions, adding that Williams’s experience will support the company’s efforts to help clients make informed risk decisions.
“Terence has the experience and strategic vision to further enhance our risk capabilities and drive innovative solutions to help shape better business decisions for clients in the region,” he said.
Williams has been with Aon for more than two decades and most recently served as chief broking officer for the EMEA region. He has previously held leadership roles including CEO of Aon South Africa, chief broking officer for Sub-Saharan Africa, and head of casualty for the UK.
Corona noted that Williams’s leadership background and industry expertise will support Aon’s efforts to enhance its regional presence and drive business growth.
“Terence is a proven people leader with the ability to develop talent and build high-performing teams. His leadership and industry acumen will be invaluable as we continue to drive growth and deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients,” she said.
Also announced this month, Aon has named Lee Huang Ng as its new head of Taiwan, effective April 1, pending regulatory approval from Taiwan’s Financial Supervisory Commission. She will be based in Taipei and report to Qin Lu, head of Greater China.
Ng has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry and joined Aon in 2014. She has held leadership roles in broking and claims management in Singapore, most recently serving as chief broking officer and head of claims. Before joining Aon, she worked at Marsh & McLennan and Jardine Lloyd Thompson.
As head of Taiwan, Ng will lead Aon’s business expansion efforts in the market, focusing on both risk and human capital solutions. She stated that she looks forward to working with Aon’s Taiwan team to provide advisory and risk management support to clients.
“We have a significant opportunity to leverage Aon’s global expertise and state-of-the-art analytics to help clients navigate the region’s rapidly changing and interconnected challenges,” she said.
Ng succeeds Ernest Leung, who will transition to lead Aon’s Hong Kong operations.
Announced in January, Aon has appointed Puneet Swani as head of Talent Solutions for Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, he reports to Tim Dwyer, head of human capital for the region.
Swani has more than 25 years of experience in human resources consulting. Before joining Aon, he was a senior partner for the international region at Mercer and has also held roles at Hewitt Associates.
Aon’s Talent Solutions business plays a key role in supporting clients with talent acquisition, retention, and workforce development. In his new role, Swani collaborates with Aon’s Talent, Health, and Wealth Solutions teams across Asia Pacific to expand integrated human capital offerings.
