American International Group (AIG) has appointed Alex Todd as Asia-Pacific head of commercial property, effective January 01, 2020.
Todd, who has been with AIG for eight years and for 17 years total in the insurance industry, will relocate to Singapore to take on this new role. He will report to Sachin N. Shah, chief executive officer of AIG Asia Pacific.
Prior to his current role at AIG Canada, Todd was the large limits leader, North East Zone based in New York. He joined AIG as a senior underwriter in Australia before moving to Singapore where he was the deputy head for commercial property.
“I am pleased to welcome Alex Todd back to Singapore as Asia-Pacific head of commercial property,” said Shah. “Alex’s strong technical capabilities, portfolio management experience and focus on building relationships with clients and brokers will be instrumental in driving sustainable profitable growth in our Commercial Property book across the region.”
