Tokio Marine has partnered with Suzuki Malaysia to provide exclusive insurance and motor add-on covers for the manufacturer’s motorcycle owners in the country. As part of the collaboration, the Japan-based insurer has been appointed as the sole insurance partner for Suzuki.
The collaboration between the two aims to promote the new Suzuki Exclusive Coverage, which offers owners comprehensive insurance coverage, including roadside assistance and other add-on benefits exclusive to the manufacturer’s models.
A report from The Star revealed that Suzuki motorcycle policyholders who sign up for motorcycle insurance with Tokio Marine will receive nine complimentary add-ons. These add-ons include accidental death and permanent disablement, medical expense, and daily hospital income. The offer will last until June 30.
Tokio Marine deputy CEO Masaaki Morimoto said that the partnership aims to ensure that motorcycle owners in Malaysia have access to a reliable and comprehensive insurance plan.
“This partnership is a testament to our commitment to providing quality insurance coverage and support for Suzuki motorcycle owners in Malaysia,” Morimoto said.
Elsewhere in the firm, a new report revealed that the insurer is considering the sale of its life insurance business in the Southeast Asia region, a deal that could be valued at about US$1 billion.
